Btw plz revamp the wiki's criteria for promotion (admin, etc.) in your favor. I am laughing at what I have done before. It doesn't make much sense now (tip: don't let a kid like me at that time be an admin)
I was watching a playthrough of this game when I noticed that certain weapons benefit from "magician-based jobs," but the page describing said jobs is not currently on the wiki. Does this just include any job with magician prerequisites or are there some exceptions? I've looked through several different pages to see if I could find an answer to this, including "warrior-based jobs" (I assume that it may be the same idea?), but confirmation as to which jobs count for this would be greatly appreciated.
Hello, I did not know where else to post this question (are there forums on the Dokapon wiki?). I was wondering if there is any discussion of a new Dokapon Kingdom game being released for Switch, and/or PS4/5, etc...? If there isn't maybe the Dokapon wiki could start one up and discuss things that the players would like to see in a new Dokapon Kingdom.
In most cases, categories aren't included on redirect pages, since they have the potential of cluttering up the category page. I'll add them back right now, though, if you think that they should be there.
I think I originally renamed it to just Monster because I was making a lot of articles singlular instead of plural. I stopped at those pages because I didn't know what I wanted to do with them naming wise, since they were essentially list pages.
I'll change it back to Monsters right now to make it match those other ones though.
I like a lot the templates you have been setting up. There is one thing that is a bit concerning, however, and that's with the monster templates. Right now, you're putting all the page information into the template, which causes some complications. First, it makes it harder for the pages to be edited, especially for people who don't know of the template system. Second, it messes with how the pages are categorized. Since the amount of information is small, it will make the Short pages special page harder to look after. Also, since these pages are under 200 bytes, meaning they are classified as stub pages by the system. If most of the pages are stub pages, it causes problems when trying to work on various aspects with wikia itself.
Long story short, I think that instead of placing the information into templates, the info should just be the MonsterInfo template and the information on the page. Do you think that would work out, or do you have an alternative solution?
The basic stats, drops, etc. won't just appear on the monster's page, so I think they should be in the template to keep each location that references it in sync if something needs to be changed or added. Having the structure refer back to one MonsterInfo template also means we can change the structure without having to change dozens of pages directly. The LongDesc could definitely be taken back out of the template, though, so if that's all you're proposing I'm fine with that. Additionally, documentation could be added to make it easier to add this information, although it might be a moot point given my current plan to fill all that in (through data mining where appropriate).
I deleted it because it wasn't a page officially related specifically to the Dokapon series. It was a page about a group of people who played the game instead of it being a page about a topic directly related to the game itself. I know that TheRunawayGuys have taught a lot of people about this series, but they are not a part of the Dokapon series. At least, that's what I think.
Check out your Admin Dashboard, which can be found by clicking "Admin" on the bottom toolbar. It has links to all your new tools. Please let me know if you have any questions, and good luck with your new (old) wiki!
